The Development Associate provides effective operations support for all fundraising and client management activities including, but not limited to, donor records, prospect research, gift processing and reports, events, and volunteer coordination. Although this position provides critical internal support they should also be experienced and adept at engaging (written and in person) with donors and key external stakeholders. This position also serves as a confidential executive assistant to the Chief Executive Officer, administrative support to the management team as necessary, provides primary contact for the public via office or telephone, and helps to coordinate other office needs to keep us functioning efficiently. This is an ideal position for a self-motivated, curious, and focused individual.

The Major Gifts Officer will be responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major gifts of $25,000 or more from individuals, as well as supporting planned giving when appropriate. The position will often partner with staff leadership and volunteers on the Major Gifts Committee to advance solicitation and stewardship activities. Key metrics for success will include donor engagement through in-person contacts and portfolio development, and revenue (year one expectations at $250,000).
The Major Gifts Officer is responsible for best practices of moves management and direct solicitation of supporters located across California. This position requires travel throughout California; evenings and weekends also frequently required. The position may work remotely anywhere in the state, with occasional visits to the Sacramento office.
