The Annual Giving Manager supports the movement of supporters to donors, and helps to identify and cultivate some of those donors toward major gifts through the implementation of a mid-level donor program.
The Annual Giving Manager is responsible for creating digital and direct mail appeals that reach current and prospective donors across multiple platforms. This work involves the coordination of cultivation and stewardship events, development of materials for marketing giving opportunities, and designing.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing an annual giving or direct marketing program, as well as coordinating donor events and digital outreach efforts. They should demonstrate strong writing skills with close attention to detail and flexibility toward reaching different audiences, as well as creativity in identifying diverse entry points for donor engagement.
Key metrics for success include ability to set, achieve and increase annual revenue goals, grow the mid-level donor file, and produce warm upgrade leads for the major gifts program. This position requires some travel throughout California; evenings and weekends also occasionally required.

The Major Gifts Officer will be responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major gifts of $25,000 or more from individuals, as well as supporting planned giving when appropriate. The position will often partner with staff leadership and volunteers on the Major Gifts Committee to advance solicitation and stewardship activities. Key metrics for success will include donor engagement through in-person contacts and portfolio development, and revenue (year one expectations at $250,000).
The Major Gifts Officer is responsible for best practices of moves management and direct solicitation of supporters located across California. This position requires travel throughout California; evenings and weekends also frequently required. The position may work remotely anywhere in the state, with occasional visits to the Sacramento office.
