Conservation

"A true conservationist is a man who knows that the world is not given him by his fathers, but borrowed from his children." – Audubon

While we have protected more than 275,000 acres of rangeland throughout California, more than 500,000 acres of private rangeland await funding for permanent conservation through the Rangeland Trust. These lands contain some of our state’s most precious resources, treasured landscapes and a unique ranching culture found nowhere else. California’s oak woodlands, wetlands, vernal pools, breathtaking vistas and the heritage and culture of the families who steward these lands are being threatened. Join us in being part of the Rangeland Trust’s effort to save our state’s rangelands and ranching heritage.
