Job Opportunities
California Rangeland Trust is seeking a part-time or full
time Program Manager for the SF Bay Area. The Program Manager will play a
prominent role in open space and rangeland conservation in the region and will
work with Rangeland Trust in developing and completing conservation projects,
assist in fund development efforts in the region and research and build
relationships with funding entities and agencies to further carry out the
organization’s mission. The Program Manager will have the opportunity to work
face to face with ranchers in the region and with regional agencies including
California Coastal Conservancy, Resource Conservation Districts and local
governmental entities.
Candidates should be self-driven, have the ability to work
independently and from home, possess excellent communication and personal
skills, and have at least 4-6 years of land conservation, private land
stewardship, or rangeland experience, or comparable transactional real estate
experience. Candidates will ideally have
a ranching background or experience working with the livestock industry and be
familiar with grazing practices and systems.
It is also important that candidates have a familiarity and experience
with resource land management and acquisition agencies and public funding
acquisition processes.
This is a SF Bay Area based position with travel
required. Candidate must be able to work
